" I first came to Rhea on a recommendation from one of her students, hoping she would quickly fix me up so I could continue playing soccer during Summer 2019. I remember limping into her office with two pulled IT-bands and being scolded for letting it get so bad, the therapy had begun.
Aside from giving an incredible massage, Rhea gave me instructions on what to do for myself in between appointments to keep the sports injuries to a minimum, so that over the summer the combination of massage therapy, and her prescribed stretching and yoga, I was able to walk off the field without a limp, bike to work the next morning, and play another game in 3 days’ time – no problem.
Rhea is super personable and if you’re able to keep up a conversation during intensive massage, then you might be in some existential debate for your entire appointment. If you want quiet – that’s fine too, she’s very accommodating. And powerful too, you will not want for a stronger therapist, trust me.
I kept up with massages with Rhea until I left Halifax and would have continued had I stayed. Over a year of 1-2 massages per month, I always left with the massage I needed. She knows so many techniques that depending on the description of your discomfort, you might be in for deep tissue treatment, Thai massage, or even fire cupping (all highly recommended).
